We Are the Temples

It’s an “Eat, Pray, Love” tour of the south! I ate some of the most amazing Indian food I’ve ever had in Decatur, GA at a place called Zyka last night. And then today was definitely a pray day. Visited the Baps Temple just outside of Atlanta. with friends.

Their BAPS.org web site says, “the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir was inaugurated in August of 2007 after only 17 months of construction time utilizing 1.3 million volunteer hours. The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn, GA like a giant 3-D puzzle.”

It really was awe-inspiring. Just beautiful. It’s one of the largest Hindu temples and places of worship outside of India.

It’s so inspiring to see the meticulous detail and devotion that humans will bring forth in these ways to honor the Source in life.

We are the temples. We are the works of art. We are the Divinity that sings and vibrates throughout all of creation!

Namaste,
Julie
